Spain VISA requirements
Spain is part of the border-free Schengen Area, which guarantees free movement to more than 400 million EU citizens, including non-EU nationals. This makes moving around Europe easy, whether for work, study or other similar purposes.

To be allowed to enter Spain, you must meet the following requirements:

Enter through an authorised border point.
Demonstrate that you meet the conditions for the proposed stay and have sufficient financial resources.
You are not banned from entering Spain.

Required documents to show at the port of entry in Spain:
When entering Spain, you will need to show the following documents, depending on your nationality:

• EU nationals: Valid passport or national ID card.
• Non-EU nationals who are visa-exempt: Valid passport or travel document.
• Non-EU nationals with visa requirements: Valid passport with a Schengen or a Spanish national visa.

Additionally, non-EU travellers showing up at the Spanish port of entry may be asked to present the following documents in order to be allowed to enter Spain:

• Cash or documents that prove of sufficient funds for the entire stay in Spain.
• A round-trip ticket to Spain and back.
• Travel insurance coverage for the entire stay in Spain.

Ensure that the Spanish border officer stamps your passport if you are permitted to enter. Without a stamp, you could be fined or detained in Spain.
